Rasmussen Log Homes was founded in 1980. The company started out as a very small operation. The homes built during the first five years serviced only a Canadian market. As time passed the quality of the homes built became known, and an American market began to develop. In 1986 the company established a market in Japan. The company is still owner operated by Dan and Karen Rasmussen.
Located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Rasmussen Log Homes has been building custom handcrafted log homes since 1980. Each log used in the construction of a Rasmussen Log Home is handpicked. The logs used are full length, straight, and with a minimum of taper. No dead standing trees are used. Our average mid-span log diameter is 13" to 15". Larger and smaller log diameters are also available. The species of logs used in building are Spruce, Douglas Fir and Western Red Cedar.
