How our homes are built: After we have finished designing your dream log home our master craftsmen start the handcrafting process. Our craftsmen select the logs for your home. The logs are then hand-peeled and hand-scribed using the Scandinavian full scribe method. Our logs are joined using mortise and tenon joinery (pictured at far top left). Where bolts are specified, they are countersunk, and a wooden plug is inserted. The corners are saddle notched (pictured right), and all scars, knots, and cut ends are smooth sanded.
After your log home is completely finished and assembled, the logs are disassembled, coded and numbered, then shipped to your building site. A highly experienced representative of our company, along with five people that you provide, will reassemble your new log home package, normally in three days or less.
