For Sale: Circa 1830 dovetail log house, hand-hewn cedar logs.
Historic research on building was completed, photocopied documentation can be provided upon request.
Photographs and elevation drawings were completed before disassembly and all logs are tagged according to drawings.
Engineering drawings were completed in 2001 to bring the building up to current building code, based on slab foundation.
Original floor joists from log house were saved. While these are not required for restoration of the building using slab foundation, they can be used for other purposes. Original log filler pieces have also been saved and may be used in re-assembly if desired.
Includes rafters and pine beams purchased from a dismantled barn for use in reconstruction of the building. Also includes very old interlocking tin roof salvaged from another historic building, the tin will need to be repainted.
Includes $500 of new plumbing materials that were already purchased for the building and other miscellaneous pine beams are available and may be used for various purposes in construction of building.
Material that is suitable to repair two to three of the logs is available upon request.
